The short answer

An electronics or appliance shop needs each unit’s serial number on the purchase and on the bill, the warranty end date printed for the customer, and a delivery challan for goods that leave on a vehicle. Bilzy does all of this: serial numbers on purchase and sale, warranty months and end date on the bill, a printable warranty card, a claims register, quotations for big orders and delivery challans made from the bill. It runs on Windows and Android, from ₹999 a year.

Since the GST changes of 22 September 2025, TVs above 32 inches, air conditioners and dishwashers carry 18% instead of 28%, so most of an appliance shop now bills at one rate.

  • A serial number on the bill is a promise you can keep.

  • Big-ticket sales deserve a paper trail as good as the product.

  • Sold, delivered, installed — and remembered.

How to bill an appliance on Bilzy

  1. 1

Turn on serial numbers and warranty

In item settings, switch on serial numbers and warranty for your appliances.

  2. 2

    Give each item its warranty

Set the usual warranty months on each item, so every bill fills them in without anyone remembering.

  3. 3

    Enter purchases with serial numbers

Scan or type the serial number of each unit from the supplier’s bill.

  4. 4

    Quote the big orders

For an office or a builder buying ten units, make a quotation. When they agree, turn it into the bill.

  5. 5

    Bill the exact unit

Scan or type the serial number. That unit goes on the bill, with the date its warranty ends.

  6. 6

    Make the delivery challan

From the saved bill, make a challan with the delivery address, the vehicle number and the reason — with or without prices, in one or three copies.

  7. 7

    Hand over the warranty card

Print a warranty card with the serial number and the valid-till date for the customer.

Warranty claims without the argument

Most arguments at an electronics counter are about dates: when it was bought, when the warranty ends, whether it was already repaired once. A register settles them in seconds.

In Bilzy a claim is opened against the unit’s serial number, with the problem, and moves from open to in progress to resolved. Record whether it was repaired, replaced or refunded, what the repair cost and what the customer paid. Over a year, the register also shows which products bring the most trouble.

Five things an appliance shop should never skip

A serial number on every bill

Without it you cannot prove which unit you sold.

A challan with every delivery

The driver, the gate and the customer look at the same paper.

A card with every warranty

It brings the customer back to you, not to a stranger with a screwdriver.

Quotations in writing

Big orders change. A written quotation keeps the price you agreed.

A look at warranties ending soon

A call before a warranty ends can become a service visit or an upgrade sale.

Questions shopkeepers ask

Can Bilzy track serial numbers for appliances?

Yes. Serial numbers go on the purchase and on the bill, and searching a serial number shows where the unit came from, who bought it and any claims against it.

Can I make a delivery challan?

Yes. From a saved bill, make a delivery challan with the address, vehicle number and reason, with or without prices, in one or three copies.

What is the GST on ACs and TVs now?

Air conditioners and TVs above 32 inches carry 18% GST since 22 September 2025, down from 28%. Check the HSN of your exact product.

Is Bilzy only for small shops?

No. It is priced so a small shop can afford it, and built for a busy one: staff logins with roles, stock in more than one godown, wholesale rates and credit limits, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B files, and billing that keeps going when the internet does not. The low price is how it is sold — one yearly plan, bought online, with no AMC — not a smaller product.

Does Bilzy work without internet?

Yes. Bills are made and saved on the phone or the PC, and go up to your account when the connection comes back.

Can I use it on my phone and my computer together?

Yes, on one account. Items, parties and bills are the same on both, and stock is moved by the server so two counters cannot sell the same last piece. Phone + Windows is ₹1,299 a year.

Can my staff bill without seeing my profit?

Yes. Each staff login gets only the screens you tick. Purchase cost and profit are their own permission.
