The short answer

A dairy or fruit and vegetable shop bills by weight, sells mostly nil-GST goods, and runs monthly accounts for regular families. On the Bilzy phone app, bill by weight — 0.75 for 750 g — put each regular family’s bills on their account through the month, and send a statement at the end so they pay in one go. Fresh milk, paneer, fruit and vegetables carry no GST; ghee, butter and cheese carry 5%. Bilzy runs on Android and Windows, with a free plan to start.

It keeps billing without internet, so an early-morning stall with no signal is still a stall with a billing app — the bills sync later.

The rate follows the exact HSN code and, for some goods, the price — check yours on cbic-gst.gov.in before you bill. A shop that sells only nil-rated goods may not need to register for GST — ask your accountant.

Daily habits that keep the accounts clean

Enter the morning purchase

Milk and vegetables bought at dawn are your cost for the day. Enter them before you sell.

Bill every regular, every day

A month of small unbilled amounts becomes an argument on the first.

Statements on the same date

Families plan to pay when they know when the statement comes.

Let trust grow

Start a new customer with a small credit limit and raise it as the account proves itself.

Keep the phone charged

The whole shop is in it. A power bank costs less than a lost morning.

Questions shopkeepers ask

Is there a billing app for fruit and vegetable sellers?

Yes. The Bilzy Android app bills by weight, keeps customer accounts, works without internet, and prints on a Bluetooth thermal printer or sends the bill on WhatsApp.

Can I keep monthly accounts for milk customers?

Yes. Save each day’s bill to the family’s account, share a statement at month end, and take the payment against the account.

Is there GST on milk and vegetables?

Fresh milk, UHT milk, paneer and fresh fruit and vegetables carry no GST. Butter, ghee and cheese carry 5%.

Is Bilzy only for small shops?

No. It is priced so a small shop can afford it, and built for a busy one: staff logins with roles, stock in more than one godown, wholesale rates and credit limits, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B files, and billing that keeps going when the internet does not. The low price is how it is sold — one yearly plan, bought online, with no AMC — not a smaller product.

Does Bilzy work without internet?

Yes. Bills are made and saved on the phone or the PC, and go up to your account when the connection comes back.

Can I use it on my phone and my computer together?

Yes, on one account. Items, parties and bills are the same on both, and stock is moved by the server so two counters cannot sell the same last piece. Phone + Windows is ₹1,299 a year.

Can my staff bill without seeing my profit?

Yes. Each staff login gets only the screens you tick. Purchase cost and profit are their own permission.
